Perish

And heroes need to die for when armies are to perish.
And some men are to cry when others are to cherish.
For when we are sorrow, and when we do sigh.
We are but the ones, the one yet to die.

Crows

How are we to end?
End in our beds,
Lying away to glory;
To kingdom come?

Are we to run?
Forever till we tire;
To Keep at it from
What we're to do?

Is it our fate
To not?
To bleed, and
To rot?

And for what?
For crows to fight upon?

Make your way.

Fuel

Of gazing at posters,
I have grown weary.
Waiting in anxiety,
My eyes have gotten teary.
But what is it that
Makes us believe in the things we do?
Often it strikes me.
And I wonder.
What is it that makes us think?
Think beyond what is. Or is not, entirely.
Sometimes...
Maybe it's because we want to.
Rather, need to.
Us, people, need this. This...
Perfect image.
Of a future that YET isn't.
It's our only motive.
It's our fuel.
We absolutely need. We lust and we lust,
Until the stronger ones get there.
So, I'd say, dream on.
It's the dreamers that get what they want out of life.

The Wall

I'm no anarchist. But school is no more a place where you go to learn. Leaving all the stupidity the teenagers nowadays pass of as cool aside, the education system has fallen. Students honestly are living not lives of their own but of lives lived by a million others. I'll say this outright. School is necessary. But what's happened to a few of my co- schoolers.. It's affected me deeply. I've somehow always known what I wanted in life. But I'll tell you this... Nine of ten school-goers don't know what they want and would like to do. Confusion is natural but giving in to the long-written path only because of convenience and security? Is it correct? Because of its overuse, the phrase has lost its value but... You only live once, man. Don't waste it on something you don't want to do. The song that woke me from my slumber was Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall". It's not so much as being a rebel but fighting however little for something that has to happen. Stressing upon it highly, I'll repeat that knowledge and wisdom is important and we gain a lot of it in our school lives, but how is forcing someone to learn the economy system fair to someone who aspires to be a musician? Aren't we just indirectly discouraging them from pursuing what they want to? Isn't talent being crushed by our community? I'm not saying the schools intend to do that, but it's happening. Open your eyes. I know a dozen kids my age who, in this ruthless need for success are holding themselves back on life. Why, you ask? To please parents. To please the society. How ridiculous is that? To please OTHERS? Honestly, I comprehend the mindset of the orthodox. Who would want their child to fail in life? But by shaping them into what YOU want them to be, you're just going to be signing report cards all their life. That's all you'll do. They may be "passing", but I personally know people who feel that every passing second they're not living. They're just breathing. Barely getting past life in their cage. If only we were to look for a way that would be as much of school without wrecking dreams, I think this tyranny of being zombie would cease to exist. I fear a land where lives are robotic. I fear that we're heading there. To my fellowship, I plead... Don't be another brick in that wall.

June, the 2nd...

There's been times I've lost focus. Lost sight of what I have to do, what I should do.  Times I've been wrong. But if there's one thing I'd come down to every time I'm in a place where I seem to be stuck, I think of what my dad would want me to do. He truly has mastered the Great Middle Path and is wiser than the green man himself. Thanks, dad, for subtly shaping me as I've grown. It's not gone in vain. Each word you say is more than heard by us. Love you and have the Happiest Birthday!

Nani

And if i were standing,
I'd sit next to you.
Watching your shows,
I'd learn who is who.

Of cards and of cricket,
You'd teach me to play,
The Sun you would be,
Of my night and my day.

There'd be a smile on your face,
When in the morning i woke.
With a joke you would open,
As my hair you would stroke.

But about you if,
There was one thing i were to say,
It would be - "You are my Sun,
In night and in day..."

Mom

Happy Birthday, mom...

Mom,

Of what I am,
And who I've been,
I've watched and learned,
From what I've seen.

And what I've seen,
Is you and you,
Just give and give,
And do and do.

Now if I were to sing a song,
Or write and work and play along,
I'd do it for the mom who could,
And I do it for my Robin Hood...
